VG Shark Fin Antenna - Antenna Base Compatibility

This page intends to clarify the fitment issues related to the space constraints of our VG Shark Fin Antenna.

Due to the diversity of automotive antenna bases often found on the same car model with different options, it might be confusing as to which antenna bases are compatible with our current VG shark Fin Antenna design.

Visual Garage Inc. has come up with a slick yet elegant design which will accommodate the larger antenna bases. The new design should be available for ordering by June. Please feel free to leave your email with us for future product updates.

These antenna bases work beautifully with our VG Shark Fin Antenna.






 
These antenna bases incorporate either OnStar, XM/Sirius, Cellular, or GPS antennas into their designs and are significantly larger in size.
These types of antenna bases do not fit under our current VG Shark Fin Antenna design. Our new design which should be available by June 2009 would accommodate most of these antenna bases.

Many of our customers use our VG Shark Fin Antenna to cover their satellite antennas. ( i.e. XM/Sirius/GPS)
In general, if the antenna that needs to be covered is smaller then 0.75" H x 1.5" W x 2" L, it should fit under our VG Shark Fin Antenna.

Note: Some minor modifications might be required for wiring. ( i.e. cutting a small groove at the back of the fin for the wire to go through)
